Today we got word from YouTube that YouTube Live is now enabled and Monetizable for all channels that have at least a thousand subscribers and are in good standing.
How this works is very simple; we are going to apply our current 90% revenue share contract to the livestreaming monetization. Please see click this link for more information.
We are obviously very excited for this opportunity and we hope you are as well.
I wanted to take this opportunity to let everybody know that One Channel, YouTube's new channel format becomes mandatory for all channels on June 5th.
While the changes will be jarring at first, we believe in the long term that these changes will provide a great platform for our content creators to show off their great work.
To help with the changes, Maker has provided us with a nice guide to the new channel branding specifications.
Cheers,
Nick Vance

With Own3d shutting down we have been looking for
alternative platforms for the Curse Stream Partnership. We
have setup a new partnership with Twitch.TV, but it comes with
some major changes to the program.
Twitch has only agreed to partner our most visited streams
at this point. This means that we will be unable to keep most
of our streamers on the program, but we will work to help
those streamers without a partnership to build their audience.
We will continue to offer a stream partnership here on Union
for Gamers, however similar to the YouTube partnership, we
will have stricter entry requirements , and will be carefully
reviewing channels before partnering them.
I would like to personally thank all of our Own3d streamers
for helping to make the CurseTV network successful. These
changes are unfortunate, but necessary at this point. We hope
to be able to grow CurseTV into a great network again on our
new platform.

We here at Curse want to take a minute to inform you about some exciting news regarding our Live Streaming efforts! Streaming is a great new way for content creators to connect with their audience in real time and bring them a whole new level of gaming involvement. As with our YouTube Partner Program we wanted to allow these content creators to receive the best deal available. We felt the best way to do this was to create a new partnership opportunity for streamers similar to our YouTube deal. With that, we are pleased to announce Curse's Streaming Program in conjunction with the good folks over at Own3d.tv. To apply for this program, we ask that you are dedicated to actively streaming and comply with our Streaming Code of Conduct. All channels will be based on the CurseTV network which can be viewed at Own3d.tv/CurseTV. To apply, simply follow the button/link featured above. Thank you and we look forward to working with you!

As of today, Microsoft has officially removed many of it’s titles from monetization on YouTube. These include all versions of Halo, including 4, Fable, Forza Motorsports, Age of Empires, and more. At this time, the available details are as in-depth as Microsoft has allowed them to be for months – to protect their property from being used to fuel bigger companies and their business. With the recent pique in focus we expect to see a refined legal text shortly. In the meantime, we adamantly encourage all Curse partners to carefully examine the titles listed here: (http://www.examiner.com/article/microsoft-removes-halo-4-forza-others-from-monetization-on-youtube) and to cease any attempts to achieve monetization on YouTube for submissions that include these games, until such a time that we can better evaluate Microsoft’s final position on the matter. Thank you for your understanding.
We here at Curse have a ton of fun and exciting things planned for our partners and we are working around the clock to bring these ideas to fruition. Since the implementation of our program we have gotten our forums up and running, featured HUNDREDS of YOUR videos on many of our sites and have successfully connected similar channels many times over with the opportunity to combine their talents to create interesting and new content!
